Schools to re-open on June 9

PUDUCHERRY: All government and private schools in Puducherry will re-open on June 9 and not June 2, according to a release from the Education Ministry.

Considering the soaring mercury levels and requests from public, the reopening had been postponed to June 9, the release said.

The schools would function on Saturdays to compensate for the one-week holiday period, it added.
