KANNUR: The Agriculture Department will launch certain programmes in the district as part of the second anniversary of the V.S. Achuthanandan Ministry. An official press release here on Wednesday said that a training programme at Mokery here on May 30 under the coconut cluster scheme, cashew growers’ gathering on June 5, formation of the Farm Club at Pathiriyad and a gathering of paddy cultivators at Mayyil on June 7 were among the activities planned. The other programmes include distribution of revolving fund to farmers at Elayavur, honouring of arecanut growers at Panniyur and soil tests and health card distribution at Mayyil.
