Man locks wife for six years
Special Correspondent
KADAPA: The support extended by journalists helped relatives free a housewife Meesala Ammulu, 25, who was allegedly confined to a room in her house at Ramarajupalle in Kadapa for nearly six years by her husband Thummakunta Ravindra, a driver in the Commercial Tax Department. The woman was not allowed to step out of the house barely three months after marrying Ravindra, who suspected her character.
Ammulu, who was forcibly tonsured a couple of months ago, and sustained a bleeding injury on the forehead near the right eye stepped out through a window and lodged a complaint against her husband with Kadapa Taluk police. Kadapa Taluk Sub Inspector Ramakrishna registered a case.
