“Yeddyurappa may not hinder Hogenakkal project”

Special Correspondent

CUDDALORE: Public Works Department Minister Durai Murugan has expressed the hope that the BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa, who is to form the next government in Karnataka, would not stand in the way of implementation of the Hogenakkal water supply scheme.

Mr. Durai Murugan, who inspected the venue of the State conference of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam women’s wing here on Tuesday, made this observation in response to questions from presspersons. The Minister said preparatory works for the project were on. Mr. Durai Murugan said over five lakh women would attend the conference, scheduled for June 14 and 15. The Minister said schemes for the uplift of women would be announced.
