15 held for forging documents

The city police on Wednesday busted a motor vehicle document racket with the arrest of 15 persons, including two RTA agents.

The police also recovered six vehicles and 35 registration certificate books.

Eight shops were damaged in a fire accident at Puranapul on Wednesday.

Fire broke out around 11.30 a.m. in the ground floor of a commercial complex.

Firemen said electrical short-circuit could be one of the reasons behind the incident.
