MLA appeals for aid to Tamils in Myanmar

CHENNAI: D. Ravikumar, MLA belonging to the Vidudhalai Chiruthaigal, on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister appealing to him to rush assistance to Tamils affected by the recent cyclone in Myanmar.

The memorandum said Tamils in that country were the worst affected by the cyclone but they were neglected by the military Government of Myanmar.

He wanted the State Government to take necessary steps to extend help to the Tamils in the country.
