VISAKHAAPTNAM: Founder of KIIT Group of Institutions and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences A. Samanta, has been nominated member of the Executive Committee of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). He will hold the office for three years. He is already a member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), appointed to the office in February this year, making him the first ever Oriya member in UGC. His nomination to the AICTE Executive Committee will give a momentum to the qualitative and quantitative growth of technical and professional education system in the State in particular and in the country in general. Dr. Hari Gautam, Chancellor, KIIT University, said that the nomination of Dr. Samanta was a matter of pride and recognition to the varsity.
