NCC camp concludes

Thiruvananthapuram: The annual training camp of 1 Kerala Girls Battalion NCC, Thiruvananthapuram, concluded here on Wednesday.

As many as 600 girl cadets from various schools and colleges in and around the district attended the 10-day camp held at the old G.V. Raja Sports School, Shangumughom.

The cadets received training in handling and firing small arms at the firing range. They were also exposed to routine military activities. The camp concluded with a cultural programme and camp fire.

The camp was held under the supervision of six NCC officers and eight instructors. camp commandant Lieutenant Colonel Sanjeev Mehra led the activities.
