As part of a project aimed at giving a new lease of life to the Sahitya Pravarthaka Cooperative Society (SPCS), long ailing from administrational breakdowns, ten more books re-published by the society were released by writers and political leaders in a function held at the Town Hall in the city on Thursday. Cooperation Minister G. Sudhakaran inaugurated the event. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sudhakaran said that the revival package for the society was “a shining achievement” of the State government. As part of the package, the society initially paid royalties to writers, which were pending for several years.
