Representation sought in Ministry
BANGALORE: The Akhila Karnataka Bovi Samaja Ekikarana Samithi on Thursday urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to provide suitable representation to MLAs from the community in the new Ministry.
Sharanabasava Mahaswami, a prominent seer of the Bovi community and honorary president of the samithi, told presspersons here that 11 persons from the community had been elected to the 13th Assembly and six of them were from the BJP. Besides, three of the six independent MLAs supporting the BJP were from the Bovi community.
He also urged Mr. Yeddyurappa to constitute a Bovi Development Corporation for the overall development of the community, which has a population of 40 lakhs in the State.. — Special Correspondent
