Bus overturns, 41 hurt

ARIYALUR: As many as 41 passengers sustained injuries when a bus overturned near Koovathur bridge, a few kilometres from Jayamkondam, on Thursday.

The government town bus was on its way to Jayamkondam from Maamangalam when the vehicle overturned owing to driver’s negligence, the police said. Some of the injured were sent to Thanjavur for treatment. The Andimadam police are investigating.
