Bevy of stars at polling booths
HYDERABAD: It was glamour all the way for polling personnel and onlookers at the polling stations set up by the administration at the Jubilee Hills Club and the Jubilee Hills Public School for the Khairatabad Assembly constituency.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, accompanied by his wife Surekha and son Ramcharan Teja cast their ballotsat the Jubilee Hills Club. Pawan Kalyan and D. Rama Naidu exercised their franchise at the Jubilee Hills Public School.
Unable to evade the flurry of questions directed at him, Mr. Chiranjeevi said in a democracy it was bounden duty of every citizen to exercise his franchise.
When a pressperson asked if the ‘megarail’ (a reference to his plan to launch a political party) had arrived, the megastar flashed his trademark grin and said it was being looked after by his brother-in-law and film producer Allu Arvind and that the question would be better answered by the latter.
Earlier in the day, the first in the Allu family to cast his vote was Allu Sirish.
At the Jubilee Hills Public School, filmstar of yesteryears, Muralimohan was visibly angry when he found his name missing in the electoral rolls.
