25 per cent final from TNPL

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd. (TNPL) has reported a 31.2 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 112.84 crore in the year ended March 31, 2008 against Rs. 86.06 crore in the previous year. Total income has risen to Rs. 969.65 crore from Rs. 880.40 crore. The directors have recommended a final dividend of 25 per cent making with the interim of 20 per cent a total of 45 per cent. It has initiated action for implementing mill expansion to increase the capacity to 4 lakh tonnes by adding a new paper machine.
