VMCA wins

HUBLI: Vasant Murdeshwar Cricket Academy (VMCA) won the SAVSOL Cup under-16 cricket tournament on the basis of its first innings lead, against Vijay Cricket Academy here on Thursday.

The scores: VMCA 404 for nine in 75 overs and 305 for eight in 56.4 overs (Shashank Hulmani 101, Samarth Ooty 63, Shashank Hulmani 57, Rahul Chauhan 52, Shreyas Murdeshawar 48, Ritesh Bhatkal 72) drew with VCA 208 in 52.3 overs (Sumant Welling 67 not out).
