Rahul excels

NEW DELHI: Fine batting by Rahul Diwan and Akash Chopra helped Sonnet Club to a six-wicket victory over Rohtak Road Gymkhana in the 32nd Lala Raghubir Singh cricket at the Modern School ground, Barakhamba Road, here.

The scores: Rohtak Road Gymkhana 169 for eight in 20 overs (Shobhit Kaushik 44) lost to Sonnet CC 170 for four in 19.4 overs (Rahul Diwan 72 not out, Akash Chopra 63).

Young Friends CC 175 for six in 20 overs (Rattan Rawat 67 not out, Wilkins Victor 46) bt Hargopal Academy 114 in 19 overs.
