Padayatra flagged off

The CPI corporator G. Koteswara Rao flagged off a padayatra demanding registration of house sites in the names of people, who were issued pattas, on Thursday. CPI city secretary K. Subba Raju said the poor toiled hard in developing the hilly and revenue porambok lands. They succeeded in securing pattas, but the lands were not registered in their names for the past few decades. He demanded the government to register the lands in the name of pattadars immediately.
