Minister orders renovation of student’s hostel

CHENNAI: Labour Welfare and Employment Minister, T.M.Anbarasan on Wednesday ordered the renovation of the student’s hostel at Government Industrial Training Institute in Ambattur.
A release said the Minister made a surprise check on the institute on Wednesday and ordered its renovation at a cost of Rs 64 lakh.
The Minister also visited the Industrial Training Centre in Guindy where he inspected the sale of applications for the current year and interacted with the students. The students told the Minister that though a hostel had been constructed, it had not been inaugurated so far.
The Minister assured the students that he would talk to the Minister for Backward Classes and arrange for its inauguration at the earliest.
