Mumbai: Virender Sehwag has been warned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for making a public comment that performance in the DLF-IPL should be considered for Indian team selection. “I wish to draw your attention to your interview in the print media advising on selection matters. You are aware that, as a contracted player, you are not supposed to talk on policy matters of the Board, particularly on selection of the team where you are one of the players eligible for selection. “You had been warned in the past and please note that the Board is not at all happy with your attitude. Kindly refrain from making any statement in future,” Niranjan Shah, Secretary, BCCI, said in his letter to the India opener. — Special Correspondent
