Special cover on centenary of church released

SPECIAL OCCASION: Postmaster General of Chennai City Region M.S. Ramanujan handing over a special cover to mark the centenary celebrations of Sacred Heart Church to Archbishop of Chennai-Mylapore Rev. Chinnappa, in Puducherry on Friday.

PUDUCHERRY: A special postal cover was released on Friday to commemorate the centenary celebrations of Sacred Heart Church.

Postmaster General of Chennai City Region M.S. Ramanujan released the special cover, while Archbishop of Chennai-Mylapore Rev. Chinnappa received the first copy.

The special cover carries a picture of the front view of the church. A special counter was set up for sale of covers in the church.

Parish Priest Fr. A. Thomas spoke on the occasion. MLAs A. Anbalagan and N. Anand, officials of the Postal Department participated.
