KOCHI: N. P. Jishar, reporter of Madhyamam daily, has won the Chowara Parameswaran award instituted by the Kerala Press Academy. Mr. Jishar won the award for his series of articles on the rampant clay mining in paddy fields in the State.

The award consists of Rs. 2,001 and citation. It will be presented at a function to be held at the Press Academy near the civil station at Kakanad in June, S. R. Sakthidharan, chairman, said here on Friday.
