Chetpet student tops in Tiruvannamalai

TIRUVANNAMALAI: E. Backia of St. Annes Girls Higher Secondary School, Chetpet, secured 490 marks out of 500 and obtained the first rank, while N. Nila of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Cheyyar (489 marks), got second rank in the Standard X SSLC public examinations in Tiruvannamalai district. E. Sathyapriya of GGHSS, Cheyyar, E. Manikandan of Government High School, Nelliyangulam, Cheyyar taluk, and V. Sangavi of St. Joseph Girls Higher Secondary School, Arni, obtained 488 marks each and shared the third rank in the district.

Tiruvannamalai district registered a pass percentage of 75.4 in the SSLC public examinations and 97 in the Standard X matriculation examinations.
