Bandh disrupts life

Medninagar: Normal life was disrupted at Medninagar, the district headquarters of Palamu in Jharkhand, on Friday in the wake of the dawn-to-dusk bandh called by traders’ bodies in protest against the killing of two persons in past two days.

All business establishmentsdowned their shutters in response to the bandh call given by Chhotanagpur Motorworks Union and Palamu Drug Association in Medninagar town, reports said.

Long distance buses also did not ply while attendance in government offices was less than normal, reports said.

While medicine wholesaler Mahesh Kumar Akhouri was killed on Thursday, Pappu Singh, a transport service agent was shot dead on Wednesday last by unidentified persons.
