DRDO award for scientist

KOCHI: V.B. Pillai, senior scientist of the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Kochi, has won the performance and excellence award of the Defence Research and Development Organisation for his contribution in designing and developing rubber components required for submarine missile launchers.

The award, which carries a cash prize and citation, was presented in Hyderabad on Thursday, a pressnote informs.—Staff Reporter
