Dreams to study at IIT

D. R. Karamathullah

NAMAKKAL: D. R. Karamathullah of Kurinji Matriculation Higher Secondary School has emerged as the second rank holder in the State in the matriculation examinations with a score of 488 marks. He secured centum in Mathematics and Science subjects, 95 marks each in Tamil and English and 98 in History & Geography.

Karamathullah, a native of Karimangalam, a small town near Dharmapuri, said he wanted to get a mechanical engineering degree from one of the Indian Institutes of Technology. It is my long cherished dream to study in one of the IITs and become a mechanical engineer.

Karamathullah also thanked his school teachers. The frequent

tests conducted in the school helped to answer well for the questions in the public examinations, he said.

His father Rahamatullah is working as secretary in a primary agriculture cooperative bank and mother, Muneera, is a middle school headmistress.
