CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has appointed Justice Ripudaman Singh Madan, sitting Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as President of the Haryana State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at Panchkula on a whole-time basis with immediate effect. An official spokesman said here on Friday that the appointment had been made after consultation with the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The appointment would be for five years from the date of joining or till he attains the age of 67, whichever is earlier in terms of Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
