Two girls get first ranks

NAGAPATTINAM: Two girls – U. Kayalvizhi of Valivalam Desikar Higher Secondary, Valivalam, and S. Thaiyalnayagi of Kittappa Municipal Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai, secured first ranks in the Tenth Standard public (SSLC) examinations in Nagapattinam district by scoring 487 marks out of 500.

Similarly, two boys – R. Rajeshkumar of Kittappa Municipal Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai and K.Dinesh of DBTR National Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai, secured second ranks in the district by scoring 486 out of 500 marks.

Five students – B.Anbumathi of Kasthurba Gandhi Kanya Gurukulam Girls Higher Secondary School, Vedaranyam, S.Sakinath Nisa of St.Paul’s Girls Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai, K.Tamizhini of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ayakaranpulam, S. Srinath and R.Naadiya of DBTR National Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai secured third ranks by scoring 485 marks out of 500.

Two students – Siva Vaishanavi of Raj Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai, and S.Manivannan of Vivekananda Matriculation HSS, Sirkazhi, secured first ranks under the matriculation syllabus examinations by scoring 477 out of 500 marks.

Three students – B.Naveern Bharathi of Gurugnanasambandar Mission Matriculation HSS, Mayiladuturai, S.Rajkumar of Raj Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai and G.Akshaya of Raj Matriculation HSS secured second ranks in the matriculation examinations by scoring 474 out of 500. M. Mounika of Saraswathi Matriculation School, Kollidam, secured the third rank by scoring 470 marks out of 500.

A.Annadurai, District Revenue Officer, and G.Arockiasamy, Chief Educational Officer, honoured the rank holders by offering them shawls and gifts at the Collectorate here on Friday afternoon.
