Jetty at Haldia damaged

KOLKATA: The No. 2 oil jetty at the Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) of the Kolkata Port Trust was damaged on Friday after being hit by a tanker.

The jetty was declared closed to traffic following the accident, according to KoPT sources.

The extent of the damage is being assessed by the authorities. The HDC has three oil jetties and the incident is not likely to affect oil traffic, sources said.
