Student hangs himself

NEW DELHI: Apparently depressed at having fared poorly compared to his friends, a Class X student allegedly hanged himself in his house at Aman Vihar here on Thursday night.

The incident came to light on Friday morning when 16-year-old Sujeet’s father found him hanging from the ceiling of his room. He rushed Sujeet to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he was declared dead. Subsequently the police were informed. Enquiries revealed that though he had scored 65 per cent in the Class X examination, Sujeet was unhappy as his friends studying in government schools had scored more marks than him.
