One injured in wall collapse

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 44-year-old man sustained serious injuries when a 10-ft. stretch of the boundary wall of Women & Children Hospital at Thycaud collapsed in the rain that lashed the city on Friday night.

The injured was identified as Sasidharan of Valiyasala. He manages a tea shop close to the wall.

Sasidharan was taken to Government Medical College Hospital.

Sasidharan, who sustained injuries and fracture in the left leg, has been granted Rs.5,000 by District Collector Sanjay M. Kaul for treatment.
