Tuticorin registers highest pass percentage among three districts

TUTICORIN: Of the three southern districts, Tuticorin has registered a better pass percentage in the just declared Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination result.

Holy Cross Girls’ Higher Secondary School student J. Monisha, who lost her father in a mishap in the high seas, has got the State first mark of 99 out of 100 in Tamil.

Number of students appeared for the examination – 19,245 (boys 9,144 and girls 10,101); number of passed students 17,503 (boys 8,122 and girls 9,381); overall pass percentage of the district 90.95. Number of students-12,608 (boys 5,907 and girls 6,701); passed 11,645 (boys 5,306 and girls 6,339); pass percentage 92.36.

Number of students - 6,637 (boys 3,237 and girls 3,400); passed 5,858 (boys 2,816 and girls 3,042); pass percentage 88.26.
