CHENNAI: The Chennai St. Bede’s Sports Foundation’s summer coaching camp, the city’s largest with 300 trainees between the ages of six and 19, concluded on Friday. CSSF participated in seven tournaments during the course of the camp, winning four and finishing second in three. A follow-up camp will be conducted on all weekends over the next nine months. The following awards were given away during the valedictory function: U-10: best batsman: D. Anchit; best bowler: V.K. Karthikeyan; best fielder: S. Lokesh; best all-rounder: Anirudh. U-13: best batsman: Darryl S. Ferrario; best bowler: R. Ashwin; best fielder: S. Porselvan; best all-rounder: Abhinava Sundar. U-16: best batsman: B. Rahul; best bowler: Jithender Sachidanand; best fielder: A.R. Anandh Kumar; best all-rounder: B. Apparajith. Scholarships: B. Sai Rupesh, D. Dhanasekhar, C.R. Srivatsan, N. Vignesh, Thomas Paul Raj, Vijaya Raj. YMIA campThe Young Men’s Indian Association (YMIA) will be conducting regular coaching classes in table tennis with the help of senior coaches from June 1.
