BSNL employees stage demonstration

PUDUCHERRY: Telecom employees owing allegiance to the joint committee of BSNL unions and associations on Saturday staged a demonstration before the office of the general manager protesting against “attempts to malign the unions and their leaders.”

In a statement here, convener of the joint committee D. Anbalagan said the unions had rejected the suggestions relating to listing of BSNL in the share market and implementing voluntary retirement scheme for the “surplus staff” of the Central Telegraph Office.
