Bokaro: An elephant was shot dead by police personnel after the Forest Department declared the mammoth as rogue for killing four persons in Bokaro’s Nawadih block in Jharkhand.

The pachyderm trampled to death two villagers a couple of days ago and killed two more on Friday, forest officials said.

After the Forest Department declared it as rogue, a police team set up for the task, killed the elephant near Pathalgadhwa forest on Friday evening, the sources added.
