Farmers’ woes continue



Unhappy: Hundreds of farmers staged a ‘rasta roko’ on the Mangalore-Dharmasthala-Hassan road opposite the office of the Joint Director of Agriculture, near Santhepete Circle in Hassan on Saturday, in protest against the non-availability of fertilizers. Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who was in Hassan, directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that fertilizers were made available at the earliest.
