6 Collectors transferred

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Saturday transferred Collectors of six districts and made fresh appointments to those posts. The districts whose Collectors were changed are Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sonepur, Keonjhar, Balasore and Kendrapara.

In an administrative reshuffle in which 12 officers belonging to both Indian Administrative Service and Orissa Administrative Service were transferred and given new posting also saw cancellation of the posting order of one officer.

According to the notification of the General Administration Department, Kendrapara Collector Kashinath Sahu was posted as District Magistrate of Bolangir.

Bolangir Collector Santhanagopalan R. was transferred and appointed Collector of Kalahandi district.

Pramod Chandra Patnaik, Collector of Kalahandi, was transferred and appointed Collector of Keonjhar district in place of Bipin Bihari Mohapatra who was appointed Additional Secretary of Public Enterprises Department in Bhubaneswar against a vacant post.

Joint Resident Commissioner in New Delhi Sisir Kanta Panda was transferred and posted as Collector of Kendrapara in place of Mr. Sahu who was shifted to Bolangir.

Collector of Sonepur Benudhar Dash was transferred and posted as Director, Textbook Production and Marketing, and Additional District Magistrate of Mayurbhanj S. Awasthy was posted as Collector in the district.

Balasore Collector Alekh Chandra Padhiary was appointed Director, ST& ST Development, and Kishore Kumar Mohanty, Director, Textbook Production and Marketing, was posted in his place.

Besides, Additional Secretary in Water Resources Department Jagadish Prasad Agarwala was appointed as Director, Panchayati Raj.

Raj Kishore Chaudhury, who was Director, Panchayati Raj, was posted as Additional Secretary in Water Resources Department.

Further a notification that was issued on May 8 for posting of Biswar Kumar Nayak, Additional Secretary in Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, as Commissioner of Departmental Inquiry was cancelled.

Bibhu Prasad Mishra, Director of ST/SC Development was appointed Commissioner of Departmental Inquiry, according to the notification.
