Bhadrananda’s bail plea rejected

Kochi: Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge D. Pappachan, on Saturday, dismissed a bail petition filed by Himaval Maheswara Bhadrananda who was arrested on charges of attempting to murder police personnel and committing suicide. Bhadrananda created a scene at the Aluva police station on May 17 by making suicide threats with his pistol. He also fired shots even as the police tried to snatch the pistol from him. — Special Correspondent
