Rally to mark World No Tobacco Day

NEW DELHI: Members of the National Human Rights Council took out a rally for creating public awareness about a tobacco-free city and country here on Saturday to mark World No Tobacco Day.

Council president Subhash Gupta said: “It is high time the government – both Central and State – woke up and put a ban on gutka manufacturing companies for the sake of young children, adults and the health of the entire country.

“People addicted to tobacco abuse are falling victim to various diseases including mouth and throat cancer.”
