GDCC gets new Chairman

GUNTUR: Nallapati Sivarama Chnadrasekhara Rao, assumed office as the in-charge Chairman of Guntur District Cooperative Central Bank on Saturday.
At the general body meeting of the GDCC here on Saturday, outgoing Chairman Kurri Punna Rao tendered his resignation and the transfer of power was smooth with Vice-Chairman Nallapati Sivarama Chandrasekhara Rao assuming office as the in-charge Chairman. This has paved way for Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao to get elected as the Chairman on a date to be announced by Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
In view of the arrangement arrived at more than two years ago on sharing of power between the two persons hailing from Vinukonda and Narsaraopet respectively, Mr. Rao was elected Vice-Chairman 20 days ago at the bank general body meeting. He assumed office in the presence of Minister for Civil Supplies Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy.
