Duration for solving question papers would now be three hours and 15 minutes for all classes A gap of at least 2 days to be kept between papers JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Secondary Education Board has decided to change the existing pattern of examination by introducing an internal evaluation system, increasing the duration for solving question papers and keeping a sufficient gap between the papers. State Education Minister Kalicharan Saraf said here over the weekend that an internal evaluation of 20 marks would be added to the final results of the students of secondary and senior secondary classes. Of the 20 marks, 10 will be given in the term tests and 5 each on the basis of attendance in the class and the project reports. Mr. Saraf said the duration for solving question papers would now be three hours and 15 minutes for all classes. While 15 minutes will be fixed as reading time, three hours will be allotted for solving the question papers. The Minister pointed out that the absence of gap between papers earlier created hardship for students. The Board has decided to keep a gap of at least two days between the exams of both the secondary and senior secondary classes. Principal Education Secretary Sudhir Bhargava and the Secondary Education Board chairman Bharatram Kumhar and secretary Leeladhar Yadav also attended the review meeting at which the decisions were announced.
