BANGALORE: A 35-year-old man from Avalahalli was murdered near Vinayaka cinema in Thalaghattapura police station limits on Friday. According to the police, the victim, Babu, was staying with his friend in a hut at Avalahalli. On Friday, both of them went to Vinayaka cinema to watch a movie. After they returned home, Babu went to a stationery shop to buy mosquito coils. Some persons stabbed and bludgeoned him and escaped. Babu’s friend first rushed him to a private hospital and then to Victoria Hospital. Babu succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. The police said they are yet to ascertain the motive behind the attack. KilledA 32-year-old vegetable vendor was killed when he was caught between two trucks at Kalasipalyam market on Saturday. According to the police, Raju, a resident of Jayanagar, had gone to the market to buy vegetables. Two trucks were parked one behind the other for unloading vegetables, and people were using the space between the two vehicles to walk. As Raju was walking along the space, the driver of one of the trucks reversed and he was caught between the two vehicles. Raju was taken to Victoria Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The City Market traffic police have registered a case against the driver of the truck.
