KOCHI: Rear Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Southern Naval Command, reviewed the passing out parade of the officer cadets of the 75th Integrated Course onboard the ships INS Tir and INS Krishna here on Saturday. Hundred cadets, comprising trainees from the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy, successfully completed their basic afloat training on board the First Training Squadron, which included ships INS Tir, INS Krishna, INS Tarangini and Indian Coast Guard Ship Varuna. The First Training Squadron is commanded by Captain Rajiv Mehta. During the sea training, the cadets are introduced to various aspects of seafaring. Cadet Swapnil Srivastava received the ‘Chief of the Naval Staff trophy’ and ‘Binoculars’ for standing ‘First in overall Order of Merit’. Cadet Anubh was awarded the ‘FOC-in-C East rolling trophy’ for the most promising cadet.
