Journalists flay MRPS leader’s comments

HYDERABAD: Several senior journalists and representatives of civil society organisations expressed serious concern over the statements of MRPS leader Manda Krishna threatening to continue attacks on Andhra Jyothi and registering cases against journalists under The SC, ST (prevention of atrocities) Act. They were participating in a seminar on “freedom of press and physical attacks on media” organised by the APUWJ and AP Electronic Media Journalists’ Association on Saturday, Senior journalist I. Venkata Rao, AP Press Academy chairman D. Amar, Indian Journalist Union leader K. Srinivas Reddy, Andhra Jyothi editor K. Srinivas, Mala Mahanadu representative Karem Sivaji, Forum for Social Justice convenor P.L. Visweswar Rao and others spoke.
