Kayalpatnam: Tiruvallur lifted the A.G. Subburaman Memorial Cup prevailing over Dindigul 5-4 via tie-breaker in the final of the 17th annual Tamil Nadu State youth football championship here on Sunday. It was a fitting finale for the week-long tournament as both the teams gave their best and were unlucky not to take the lead as the frame-work stood between them and the goals. In the tie-breaker, all the five-Manivannan, Sam Abishek, Dilip Kumar, Sakthivel and Sudhakar scored for Tiruvallur. For Dindigul, Jaffer, Karthikeyan, Sheik Mohamed and Rajalingam converted, while Raguram hit the cross bar. R. Palaniandi, District Collector, Tuticorin gave away the prizes. — Sports Correspondent
