KSFA awards presented

BANGALORE: Hindustan Aeronautics Sports Club (HASC), the Super Division league champion, received the winner’s trophy and cash award of Rs. 20,000 from chief guest A.R. Khaleel, president Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) at the football stadium premises here on Sunday afternoon.

Brothers Jawa and Peter sponsored cash awards to the tune of Rs. 67,500 to the winners and runner-ups of the various divisions: Super, `A’ and `C’ division, while Nike Sports gave away football gears to the members of the winning teams. ‘B’ division was not held in the last season. This is for the first time in the history of BDFA that cash prizes are being awarded to various teams.

The award winners: Super Division: Winner (Rs. 20,000): HASC. Runner-up (Rs. 10,000): BEML (Earth Movers). ‘A’ Division: Winner (Rs. 15,000): Rail Wheel Factory (RWF). Runner-up (Rs. 7,500): BHEL (EPD). ‘C’ Division: Winner (Rs 10,000) ISRO. Runner-up (Rs. 5,000): Students Union.
