KOCHI: The eighth Geojit RSC all-India junior ranking badminton tournament will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here from June 4 to 7. However, the qualifying rounds begin on Monday. Competitions for boys and girls in the under-10, 13, 16 and under-19 age groups will be conducted. The event, organised by the Regional Sports Centre, will also be a selection tournament to pick the Indian team for the junior Asian championship in Malaysia in July. The main draw matches in the under-10 and under-13 divisions begin on June 4 while the matches in the other age groups begin on June 5. – Principal Correspondent
