Fine show by Gokul Krishna

Chennai: Team WSRF had a memorable week end at the MMSC Track in Irngattukottai on Sunday when its riders came off with consistent performances to take the podium in all the four races. As many as 50 newcomers took part in the races organised by the Madras Motor Sports Club to promote young talent.

Prominent among the winners from WSRF was Gokul Krishna, who had three wins and one second place finish to his credit on his Formula Maruti. Another was Justin who finished first in the opening race.

In the two wheeler category, N. Deepan stole the thunder with two wins. Deepan actually won three, but was penalised in the first race for scrutiny bay violation. Prabhu, Bharath Raj, and Arun Pillai also did well with two wins each.

In the Group B four-stroke up to 130cc category, Deepan took the chequered flag in both the races. In Group B two-stroke up to 165cc class, A. Prabhu notched up two wins while D. Rajkamal and Joel Joseph took the second and third places respectively in both the races.

S. Ravi scored a splendid win in the Group II up to 165cc in the first race, while Deepan took the honours in the second.

In the TVS race-a-bike Group A category, Bharat Raj emerged the winner in both races, while in Group B it was Arjun J. Pillai, who took the top spot.
