Directive on deploying elephants

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Only elephants fitted with microchips should be taken out for public functions in the capital, District Collector Sanjay M. Kaul has said. He was presiding over the meeting of the monitoring committee set up to end cruelty towards elephants here on Friday. As many as 40 elephants in the district have been fitted with microchips. — Staff Reporter
