Young man beaten up by constable

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old man was beaten up allegedly by a Delhi police constable at Vivek Vihar here on Saturday.

Late on Saturday night, Gaurav Chaudhry was inside his Santro car parked near his house when Constable Satnam, who is a driver with an Assistant Commissioner of Police, reached there in a Maruti Esteem car. Two more persons were in the Esteem.

It is alleged that Satnam, who lives in the same locality, asked Gaurav to give him way. This led to an altercation between them and Satnam allegedly damaged the windscreen of Gaurav’s car and then hit him on the head with some object.
