CHENNAI: The Ashok Nagar police on Saturday registered a case following a complaint of cheating from Deivajothi, against those running Tiruvalluvar Kalvi Arakattalai, operating from Lakshmi Narayanan Street, West Mambalam.

According to the police, Ms. Deivajothi and 200 others had paid the trust Rs.3.25 lakh.

She alleged that the organisation had collected money stating that it was towards floating a chit fund company.

But, the receipts issued to them said the money had been collected towards donation.
