Sonia compliments YSR, PCC chief


Hails Dr. Reddy for bringing the party a credible victory, fighting against all odds, propaganda


HYDERABAD: AICC president Sonia Gandhi congratulated Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and APCC chief D. Srinivas for the victory of the Congress in the byelections.

In a message, Ms Gandhi hailed Dr. Reddy for bringing the party a most credible victory, fighting against all odds and propaganda. She praised him for his commitment for the overall development of the State and implementation of welfare programme and developmental works like irrigation projects, loans at three per cent interest to self help groups, housing and employment generation.

She also complimented Mr. Srinivas for his leadership and coordinated efforts in achieving the desired results. She said that with the efforts of all leaders, the party should promote the existing programmes so that the benefits reached the needy.
